Each year over 20 teams from Co-ed schools participate in a Rural Livestock Rugby Tournament held at different venues around the South Island. This year it is hosted at the Prebbleton Rugby Football Club, south of Christchurch. All teams play five or six half games over three days. The purpose is to develop future first XV players but the emphasis is on fun and participation.
