* The ‘A’ Secondary School Nationals is the pinnacle tournament for ‘smaller’ Secondary Schools across New Zealand. The ‘A’ Nationals is for those schools who qualified by attending their respective ‘A’ Premiership Tournament and placing in one of the qualifying spots available.

There are 12 spots available per gender, with 7 qualifying from the ‘A’ North Island & 5 qualifying from the ‘A’ South Island Premierships.
